How It Works
From assessment to ongoing evolution — a clear path from SaaS dependency to operational control.
Build vs Buy Assessment
It starts with a 20-minute call and a look at what you’re actually running: every subscription, the spreadsheets around them, and the manual steps between tools. Each system gets sorted as core (it defines how your firm operates) or commodity (email, payroll, file storage: keep renting those). The worst offender then goes through the build-vs-buy model: what it costs to keep renting over five years, what owning it would cost, and when it breaks even.
You get: a one-page core-vs-commodity map and a number. Sometimes the number says keep the subscription, and we’ll say so.
Architecture & Replacement Strategy
For the system you’ve decided to own, we design the replacement before writing code: the data it holds, the workflows it has to carry, the tools it still has to talk to (QuickBooks, payroll, your field or scheduling tools), and what moves over from the old system and when. The scope is sized against the same model as our custom software cost calculator, so the estimate and the plan match.
You get: a written build plan with scope, integrations, a migration plan and a fixed monthly rate.
Build & Embed Intelligence
We build in short cycles, and you see working software every two weeks rather than a reveal at the end. Automation goes in where the manual work was: matching payments to invoices, pulling data out of documents, the report somebody rebuilds by hand every Monday. The old subscription stays on until the new system is carrying the work. Then it gets cancelled.
You get: a system you own, with your data in it and the old tool turned off. A typical scope runs four to six months at $4,995 a month during the build.
Managed Evolution
After launch we stay on as your internal systems team: hosting, support, fixes, and the next improvements as the business changes. Quarterly reviews decide what gets built next. Nothing is locked in. The code, the data and the accounts are yours, and you can take them anywhere.
You get: an engineering team on call without hiring one, at $1,495 a month for ongoing management.
Not sure which system to start with? The SaaS spend calculator puts every subscription in one place; the build vs buy page shows the math.
